EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It is a unique, powerful therapy that helps people recover from problems triggered by traumatic events in their lives. It stops difficult memories causing so much distress by helping the brain to reprocess them properly.
EMDR is best known for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and it can also help with a range of mental health conditions in people of all ages.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.
It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.
Life coaching’s main aim is to help and guide individuals to make and meet their goals. Coaching can support you on a journey to discover or rediscover your strengths and abilities. Coaching involves the application of techniques based on psychological principles and intuition to support you to face challenges and overcome barriers.
Dream Analysis is a technique historically based in psychoanalysis but now also used in some other psychotherapies. The aim of dream analysis is to interpret the content of a dreams to find any underlying motivations or symbolic meanings and representations. Dream analysis is particularly useful for troubling and/ or recurring dreams or nightmares.

The BABCP say this about accreditation:
BABCP is the lead organisation for cognitive and behavioural therapies in the UK and Ireland. We provide practitioner accreditation for CBT therapists living and working in the UK and Ireland.
Accreditation means that a CBT therapist has both core professional mental health training or recognised equivalent, as well as specific CBT training. To be accredited, our members must have applied and demonstrated that they meet high standards of training and experience in CBT.
They also commit to maintaining our standards of clinical practice, clinical supervision and continuing professional development. Accredited members are audited to ensure that they continue to meet these expectations.
The CBT Register is a joint public register of all our accredited members.
The aim of the CBT Register is to protect the public, employers and other agencies by helping them find therapists who have met the required standards.
All members agree to abide by our Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics [PDF].
Linsay is a member of The EMDR Association UK, this means that she gets professional support, access to journals, peer supervision groups, training workshops and conferences and details of other CPD events.

“Linsay was very quick in finding out the issue and suggested EMDR. Initially I was not very comfortable with EMDR however the changes it has brought in my day to day life was remarkable. I have taken up few online counselling sessions before but they were concentrating on a specific problem and talk through it which was not very helpful”
“The EMDR's I went through with Linsay was very effective and I was able to overcome the difficulties I had within few weeks. She don't jump into conclusions but makes us think about the situation and how we can help ourselves. My overall experience and outcome was excellent! Thank you Linsay”
