My name is Linda Murgatroyd and I have been an integrative counsellor (including person centred) for over 20 years in organisations such as colleges & universities, hospital and other NHS settings. I am a registered & accredited member of BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals, having regular clinical supervision and personal development training.
Some of my most recent training and interests have been in ‘Understanding & Navigating ADHD’, ‘Perinatal Mental Health’, and ‘Working with Grief’.
I have worked with patients with a range of difficulties, and provide an emotionally safe space where we can explore your issues together. Through therapy our aim will be to promote your self-understanding & development, and to learn how to regulate your emotions so they don’t overpower - leading to you living in a way that you experience as more satisfying.
If you are dealing with depression, anxiety, or unresolved relationships, emotional pain, bereavement or loss of any kind, or any ‘unfinished business’ then we can address these issues and work through feelings of inner conflict or resolving specific problems, in order to gain greater personal insight. If appropriate I will help you move towards change.
